QX6700 Quad core to Core 2 Duo E4300 HELP

Running a QX6700 Quad core at the moment @ 3.2 but thinking of selling it for about £450-500 and getting a Core 2 Duo E4300 (£77) and overclocking it to the same sort of speeds but wanted to know if I will see much difference as I don’t do any video editing etc with my QX6700 so just think I’m wasting it in my machine, I do play games though. So anyone taken a step back and if so what was it like?

Hi,
I sold my Qx6700, and went back to a e6600.
No regrets, yes its a little bit slower in day to day use, but i dont really notice it to be honest.
Money in the bank
Im going to wait for more Quad core applications and games before i buy one again.

Yeah,

I had a QX6700 running @ 3.6ghz and decide to sell it on as the price was just to high.

Now running a 6400 @ 3.8ghz on water.

However I will be getting a quad xeon if I can, soonish....

I loved the quad and do a lot of video editing but 670 quid was insane and I fel very gulity about the exspense.

i dont need to sell the QX6700 because i need the money i just like changing stuff around and having a play, you had a play with Intel Core 2 Duo E2140 yet easy
