QX9650 - worth it?

i wouldn't say it's worth it. save the money, and clock up a Q66.

if it's worth it to you personally to have a cpu at a certain mhz for bragging rights or whatever then i guess that answers the question.

realistically it's only a processor running slightly faster than one costing hundreds of pounds less and it won't save somebody's life or make the world a better place to live in, or improve you're chances of getting laid.

Am i right in thinking that the QX9650 is B3 stepping and the newer Q6600's are G0 making them more enegery efficient and less prone to overheating a bit?

QX9650 is a 45nm part and C0 stepping, Q6600 is 65nm and has the older B3 stepping and the newer G0 stepping.
