Well the title of this thread is Spartacus (not Andy Whitfield), it's his most famous (and celebrated) work, he was an actor and that subforum is about TV and that thread is where the discussion of his death began this morning....

Regardless of the title, we're clearly not talking about the Blood and Sand here are we? And with no intention to cause offence, it's also rather insensitive to start causing trouble in a thread like this. A great man has died; and a lot of us are clearly upset that we've lost one of our on-screen idols.

Was one of my favourite current actors and was greatly looking forward to future seasons of Spartacus.

No sooner had he made his break, life broke him.

Currently re-watching episode 4 of Blood & Sand. It's rather poignant when, after the first pit fight, he dreams of his wife; she says "you push yourself too hard" and he responds "and yet I still live." Life's tragic irony.

Well just like Spartacus did in our history books; Andy lived and died like a true Warrior and that'll be how we all remember him.

Never knew him or ever seen the show, but did geniunely feel bad for the fella and his family, even though I don't know anything about him. I guess he's young and healthy, yet hit by cancer. Could happen to any one of us.

Way too young to die.
