R.I.P DannyW

I am currently trying to get the day off work to attend the funeral I will make sure I pass on the messages.

Never interacted with him much, can't remember if he was ever at one of the North Yorks/Manchester motors meets, but his threads in motors were always fun. Proper character who did things his way regardless, didn't care at all.

Very sad to hear this, the forum has me feeling very mortal lately. With it being 2 years since my dad died and so many people from the community passing on for various reasons makes you really focus on what's important. I have a baby on the way in October and it makes me worry so much less, I just want to enjoy life and be happy. Been so worked up about money and my own achievements (or lack thereof) that you forget what's important.

I agree, I am trying to reconcile a number of losses recently. Me and Dan were the same age, I definitely want to focus on the more important things in life.

Hope you manage to get there. Its never pleasant burying a friend but there can be some smiles and laughter.

Interesting story how we met...

I introduced Dan to the forums way back circa 2006 from what I can remember, or it may have been the other way round !. I had bought a moped off him and we instantly became friends (crazy story I know) over the years we kept in touch on and off but he was always keen for a catch up on text with pics of his new car or what he wanted to do to his car etc. He was also around for me when I went through a hard break up. Just a nice normal caring guy who wanted nothing more than to succeed and do things his way

Mixed with the interesting threads he brought to this place makes it a big loss.

Wow. Really really shocked!

I liked Danny, enjoyed his Acme-esque car purchases some years ago and followed him in the Home Cinema forum.

RIP DannyW! :( A top guy.
