R1 vs Porsche vs Tornado

and as the camera zooms out, you can see the bike swerving a hell of a lot, just before the plane passes it. i think it then slows down
 
I would hazard a guess that is a SU 24 Fencer as it looks like its got swing-wing and the tail fin on the migs seams to extend to far down the plane for it to be one of them. SU24 i say
 
What the hell are you people on?? It's pretty clear that the R1 stopped accelerating when the jet went past, Theres no way that Porsche is flying past the bike until the bike is maxed out at 170-180MPH, even then the bike will have a huge lead and the car is going to crawl past.
 
My guess is that the biker might have backed off for fear of being blown around by the jet wash from the plane. I know that I'd be rather careful about being blown off a bike at above 150mph.
 
Biker had to have backed off. Only other explanation is he topped out, but that would mean the Porsche was doing well over 200 to go past him like that.

closest people got before the Orao was mentioned were those that said the Mig 23 (again the Mig 27 looks more like the Jag because it was modelled on that ;) )

The R1 had to back off because when then jet passed the bike (and i believe the bike was on the limiter showing 299kmh) it became too unstable, hence why the car overtakes the bike dramatically ;)

As the story goes, the result was already known before they set off, it was going to be more a question of how dramatic the acceleration of the aircraft compared to the bike was going to be.

Good entertainment, but thats about it really as it doesnt prove anything other than power to weight again.
