R1 vs skyline

Your making very large power to weight ratio claims without accepting that you cant simply put that power to the ground. Now youre allowing the rolling starts as you think the bike might lose? What next?

The reason nearly every car vs bike battle is totally void is due to personal inputs from someone wanting one side to win the test.

The winner will be the better pilot.
 
You really really can't use the power to weight ratio as a reliable indicator here - also need to know how well it puts that power down - the GTR will absolutely thrash many cars that have a lot better PWR off the line even with a rolling start due to the capabilities of its launch control.

No idea which would win here as I don't really know bikes but I've seen the GTR beat many sports bikes over 1/4 mile.

EDIT: From a quick look around youtube seems a stock GTR can just about hang in there but the R1 wins by a little stock for stock - so probably doesn't take too much extra power to edge it over a stock R1.

Arguing the on paper figures is one thing, finding a pilot mental enough to pin an R1 will be much harder than finding just about anyone who can push the GTR loud pedal to the floor and keep it there. I've seen videos of ~600WHP S2000s just about hanging against 1litres from a rolling start but so much is going to depend on the talent of both the driver and rider. GTR needs no manual gear shifting for a start.

To hang with is one thing, out accelerate...by how much?

Well, I'd go R1 all day long, the GTR is great, but assuming you get the perfect rider hitting each gear perfectly and the GTR driver on song... I simply think that there'd be too much power to weight to compete. However I've been to 1/4 mile tracks for years and you'd be surprised at what can beat what. My old 205 Mi16 with 196bhp nearly had a Porsche 911 in 2005... why? because the 911 driver screwed up his start and I think at one point said he stuffed 3rd gear and ended up 0.2s ahead of me... he admited to me later than he really though my Pug had him... how emabressing would that've been lol

When these races happen it's more about skill than raw power... tough one.. you can find vids everywhere showing bikes wins/car wins etc...
