R2E, 920 C0 - Help me push it further! Please?

tried another approach.

19 x 200 is 3.8, vcore is at 1.33 and vtt is at 1.36 and may overvolt to 1.38?

ram is now at correct speed of 1600.

is that vtt safe and if so how far can I push it?

can you add me to msn m8 if thats ok? could do with your knowledge! lol

thanks again

i think intel recomends 1.35v and below for vtt I have tried to use up to 1.45 on my C0 chip and it did not help much. i went back to 1.335 and that was just for stability.

its hard to know, i have noticed that some xmp memory profiles set it to 1.4, and there must be loads of people who go that far without problems.

I'm running the same board,C0 cpu & memory as yourself.

Try these for 3.8Ghz

CPU Ratio Setting [21]
BCLK Frequency [181]
DRAM Frequency [1451]
UCLK [2903]
QPI Link [Auto]
VCORE [1.25]
PLL [1.80]
VTT/QPI [1.2]
VDIMM [1.65]

Ram timing are at 7.7.7.24 & Dram Timing 1N

Also i have turned off HT,C1E & speedstep off.

All other setting left at auto.

I very much doubt that would work, plus I want to keep HT on which will require a lot more volts.

I'll give it a try anyway mate.

I can get 3.8 with ram at 1600 8 8 8 24 1N but I need 1.35vcore and 1.38VTT

Thanks,

RoEy

@ 3.7 Vcore 1.345 and vtt 1.345 both overvolt when stressed to around 3.56 and vcore goes a bit higher sometimes.

I really need to know what the max 24/7 safe for vtt is?

I booted up earlier and my pc lcd poster just said locked. It then wouldnt boot. I turned it off then rebooted and it said overclock failed yet I've been running 3.7 for a week now and it's itb and prime stable and ive tested ram in mem test for 3 hours. I set 3.7 again from overclock profile and now its ok again.

Should I lower overlcock?

Really hope someone can help.

Most people would say 1.4v max for VTT 24/7 mate

Intel state 1.35v but you can always go a little over

No worries :)

vcore and vtt is the 45nm killer though most people again would agree that its the vtt that does it.

I ran my Q9650 @ 4.4ghz 24/7 for quite a few months on 1.39375 vcore and 1.39vtt, never dropped a beat and now Greebo is thrashing it in his rig!
