Mhmmm yeeep thats why I doubted it was an RS3 in the pic, its always rumours until Audi officially announce something or a good reliable source tells you, one can always wish though ^_^
 
Took a wander around some dealers this morning to arrange test drives for a few of the suggestions above (thanks all). Organised for a A3 3.2 and a vRS.

Afterwards we went in to the BMW dealership to have a look at the 130i, but as we parked up, my wife spotted the new 3 series coupe.

A chat with the sales rep and it seems like it's within my price range (though probably not the 335i unfortunately :( ), so we'll be going out in that in the next week. We also booked a test drive in a 330d which, although it isn't the same style as I was originally looking for, would be achievable as long as the wife doesn't want a new car too ;)

The 5 series has grown on me, but seems a little 'mature' yet. I'll leave this for another few years yet, and let Fox wax lyrical about them for the time being (lucky bugger!).
