R6 Raven Shield

i used to play ravenshield under the names babylon, gundam, and cocacola, i remember playing with the saduk guys ;) and YES ive preordered lockdown!
 
The great thing about RVS was that you always needed the CD in the drive, so there was virtually no pirates playing, and as a result, most players were very friendly and great to work with, unlike a lot of games such as CS.

The demo looks much more like RVS that the PS2 version of lockdown did thats for sure :D
 
ive not finished downloading yet but the comments on the forum are dissapointing, virtually everyone of them is negative saying its nothing like ravenshield or any other rainbow 6 game!
 
Looks like its full of bugs too, but thats nothing new. Im not expecting it to be as good as RVS, but i hope its similar.

Only 2 hours downloading left before ive got it, gotta love traffic management :(
 
I hope its AS GOOD as Raven Shield but I don't have high hopes.

I do like the idea of 30 second respawns on some games for a bit of variation and Physics will come in nice :)

The AUG gun better be present and correct though! :)

Only half an hour to find out!
 
its garbage....

Physics are terrible, slow loading and plays a lot different to raven shield.

Not going on the buy list
 
Ok I downloaded the wrong demo because that was not Rainbow 6.

What a load of ****. Back to Ravenshield for for me. I'm not going to list what I don't like about it because I would be here all night.

The only praise I can think of is that the broken glass effects are really nice, EVERTHING else is terrible! Thank god I didn't pre-order this game based on the name.
 
sucks. graphics good. everything else is crap. think raven sheild dumbed down and on hyper speed mode iwth a soprint thats too fast and a walk thats like a oap without a stick
 
They are trying the market it to the counter striek kiddies nwo by the looks of it. The guns have no recoils compared to RVS, i do not liek the grenade system.

The GFX are nice and do run smoothly, but so far thats about all its got going for it IMO.
 
Some pretty dissapointed people on the Ubisoft forums. I made a few choice posts. :p

Some people are asking Ubisoft to cancel the game because of the damage it will do the Rainbow Six franchise lol.
 
Yeah i read that. I dont want them to cancel it, but it doesnt feel rainbow 6.

edit - added my 2 cents also now.

Does anyone still play Raven Shield Online? I've started to play it a gain with a mate who now has a pc since his mac died.

I would like to play again, as i havent played in about a year or so.

Anyone want to get a few games going sometime either at the weekend, or next week sometime?
 
There are loads of severs up just need to install punkbuster. I like playing on the eutf severs lots of custom maps and generally no idiots who stand in door ways after you've just been through them!

P.S I only have Raven Shield installed at the mo but if I install Atenas Sword will I still be able to play with someone who only have RS?
