R600 Delayed again, now 14th May!!!

I don't mind when they release it as long as the drivers work.

We've all seen what happens when you release a card without proper driver support. ;)

Aye, having an X1950 you would know better than anyone. ;)

I wonder why it's been delayed...seeing as they had already set up the launch date etc. And they must have been certain they'd make it if they'd gone that far?

AMD correlative principal Henri Richard denoted that R600 has been ready for some time and they can introduce ATI R600 at any time. They tested R600 and the contrast object is ASUS EN8800GTX Aquatank and it used the default 630/1030 frequency.

Heh, never had any problems here. ;) :p
Oh c'mon everyone knows how long it took ATI to actually support the things. ;)

But yeah this is bad news for R600, this is bad news for the graphics market in general.

Both companies are doing really dire lately, lazy arses.

Ah, but I didn't snap it up on release.

When the X1950s hit I was still pottering around on my 7800GS.

nVidia have shown us what happens when you decide to be an "early adopter". ;) :D

your ******* me
omg ill have to go to nvidia :(
my bday is april the 25th i was hoping to get for that but OMG

AMD is simultaneously launching low-end, mainstream, and high-end desktop and mobile parts, making this a very first simultaneous, across-the-board launch for any GPU vendor.

Sounds nice, so we get all the flavours in one go? (i.e. low-mid and high end cards)

I also thought the 8800 Ultra was coming out with the mid-range cards on the 17th, but according that Nvidia are waiting to see how the R600 performs first, so we'll not see that till May now then either. :D

Agreed, 5+ months down the line and the 8 series still hasn't got any XP or Vista, such a shame to let an awesome card like the 8800 go to waste by not supporting it. :(

Yes totally agree the G80 series is really dire  NOT!
Never said it was, in fact I never said anything about G80. Drivers have been a joke though, which is what I was referring to. Assumptions assumptions.

Though, 8600 is turning out to be an utter joke with the 128-bit memory interface crippling it. X1950Pro is kicking its ass for God's sake, not much of an achievement there.
