R9 280x or R9 290

I thought that was the difference of the " OC Black Edition" is that it had a higher clock speed?

Anyway Im not bothered if its supposed to be running at 980mhz. So if its not the clock speed, whats the diff between the normal "XFX DD 290" and the "XFX DD OC Black Edition 290"?

You're right, they are clocked higher. The "Black Edition" is clocked at 980MHz, the normal DD is clocked at 947MHz. With the 290X, the Black is 1050MHz with the normal X clocked at 1000MHz.

I dont really know what Mantle is or how you enable it? does it work with all games and is is it better image wise then directx 11? I know it runs much better then directx but surly it wont be as good image wise?

Unfortunately, not that simple. Trueaudio is on the 260, 260X, 285, 290, 290X and 295X2. Pretty much every card designed since the 260 (others like the 280/280X were rebrands of card designed earlier than the 260).

Ah right, well I use the X-FI sound card for my audio anyway. I had to disable the Zerocore feature tho, because when my screen turned off, it kept changing the size and moving windows around on the screen.

You can use any soundcard with TrueAudio.
