R9 FURY NITRO PROBLEMS :(

i have sent the card back to ocuk.

managed to do some digging in my crash files from playerunknowns battleground.

"Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost."

appears on every single crash. surely can only be a gpu issue?

So a clean Windows install, newest drivers and a brand new PSU and multiple games effected and you still getting crashes. Was your card factory overclock? It could be overheating or the overclock may have not been stable. If you still had the card I would have recommended underclocking to see if that improves stability, also monitoring temps would be useful as well.

Good luck with your RMA. The only time I RMA'd something to Sapphire (through OCUK) they did indeed take the full 28 days. Although, as my 290 was EOL they sent me a 390 instead. I'm not sure what they can send you though, if they don't have any Fury's, as Vega isn't out yet.

Temps never went above 70 degrees.

The card is back with ocuk now and I think it was factory overclocked but either way it should work.

Multiple games the issue happened with. Gpu removed on bf1 and then device lost on pubg.

No idea what could be causing it. The only game I had played since I got the card was football manager and wow.

Both of which would get a black screen from time to time but wouldn't crash the game. But the more gpu intensive games seem to just bomb out and crash

The second BIOS allows a higher power limit of 300W and higher target temp before throttling

Good luck with the RMA
I've no idea which bios is which - with the LED on button turned on the card was dumping constantly. When switched to bios with LED off then the card would also dump but last maybe 5mins into a game as opposed to 2minutes.

Ocuk have been fantastic up to this point.

Wouldn't buy hardware from anywhere else.
