Race Driver Grid Demo available (Xbox360)

Try to approach this game from an Arcade angle.

Difficultly setting: Savage

all assists on "except" breaking

controls: left analog stick = steer. right analog stick = power/break.

I actualy think this game benefits from assists on.

ps- If you want sim carry on playing forza 2 on hardest setting :)

Nah, if you want an arcade game get PGR.

Mine has been dispatched: 27/05/08. 1:20pm.

I dont care how many people think its rubbish i loved the demo
and i am looking forward to this.

should be with me tommorow (wednesday) :) :)

ps- £32 not a bad price either !!

That video really does show how it is...!! lol

think I'll give the demo another whirl, perhaps look to rent and if it captivates me, I'll make a purchase - perhaps??

Purchased it for £32 also.
EVeryone has been moaning about the handling but im not after a 'sim' game, i really enjoyed DIRT and this is going to be excellent too. Thought the demo was great and some of the best graphics ive seen so far on the 360.
 
The handling in the full game is a lot better than the demo:eek:

In the demo i had a go with the mustang and just kept spinning out, i couldn't control it at all but after playing the full game, the mustang is easy to control!

I was one of the people that thought the demo was pants and too arcadey but after playing the full game i must admit it's excellent!
 
^^ That's good news, I would be surprised if they had changed the handling in such a short space of time, unless the demo was old code.

Really want to enjoy Grid, so hopefully the handling is better as you say :)
 
Don't get me wrong it's still very arcadey but the handling seems to have been improved since the demo, i can fly through a race and not spin out once, on the demo i'd spin out on about the third corner!

A nice arcady gaming afternoon when I return then :)

EDIT: and after getting back and having an approx 30 min go on it, came first in all the races so far, and loved every second of it. What a brilliant, fast, adrenaline pumping game! :)

I take it you have the ps3 version ??? i am undecided if i should buy the ps3 or 360 version and with them both looking very similar it is just a case of if i want to whore the points from the 360 game :D .

Yeah, PS3 version for me.
Played the PC version too, which was pretty similar, just faster framerate and higher res really. There wasn't enough difference to dissuade me from the simplicity of just firing it up on a console ;)

I can't comment on the 360 version, but if they look and handle the same, I have to say it's pretty good. Would come down to if you want to "whore" those points ;) also if you prefer the 360 controller, and have more friends on Live.

Hmm... Sounds like the full game might be a little better then the demo, the handling and screen tearing from the demo was enough to put me off...

Shame, as it was really fast, but when I tried to play using the mustang, I spent more time doing doughnuts then going straight... :p
