Race Driver: GRID Demo Next Week

Most of us don't spend that sum on something we might not like, or which might not run very well on our machines.

Games with no demos do invite piracy more, IMO.

That attitude invites piracy a lot more, imo. At the end of the day if you're sure that you want a game, preorder it. If you have a doubt, wait untill some reviews are out, then make your decision.

Heh. And since when do reviews give the truth about games nowadays? Even the most mediocre drivel tends to get good ratings, and reviewers rarely criticise or make mention of games which run badly.

You can't go by the stated system requirements either because they are usually completely underestimated.

Been down this route before, don't want to start looking like a crusader, so I shall say nothing more.

Looking forward to GRID, only a few weeks to go now:D

£20 to £30 is hardly expensive.

It is for me considering i live on £50 a week! Demos are definately a good thing, though it bugs me that developers dont seem to put as much time into them as they should - many demos I try are pretty shoddy and put me off buying the full game, even if the difference is night and day!

£20-£30 is a lot of money for some people. Especially children.

There is no way to tell how well a game runs on your machine untill you run it.

Reviews are opinionated, only you can decide if you like a game.

Demos are good. Just imagin if Crysis hadnt had a Demo. The ammount of people who would have bought it, it not run on there machine, and then moaned about it forever more!

I think I'll give the demo a go to get my hands on the 320si. Hopefully, it will be fairly realistic. It will be interesting to compare the handling and the feel of the car to the M3 in BMW M3 Challenge.

I haven't bought a codies racing game since CMR2, they lost their way when it came to realistic physics. They did try to win over the sim crowd by making a sim mode but it failed because although it was harder it wasn't realistic.

I haven't read anything that would make me think this changed with this title.

I would like to be proven wrong but I'm not holding my breath.
