The visual style of it suggests its going to be very arcady to me :(

The video looks good, I just hope its fairly in depth with handling.

If it is atleast up to the realism level on Gran Turismo I'll be happy, on par with other sim games like GTR2 and rFactor and I'll be very happy :)

Weird Gamershell dont mention PC only consoles.

They do have 2 large HD (1 is actual Gameplay) movies though.

I wont post cause other day some M0F0 said I was a spammer cause I posted info into a thread but I did not see info was for 360 not PC.

Ralph Fulton, the game's chief designer, says that Codies wants "to make racing exciting again". "This is not a game about collecting cars or spending all of your time in the front-end tuning suspension settings or designing liveries."

Shame coz I like saving up to buy cars and upgrade them.

Will the pc ever get a decent racing game like gran turismo :(

tbh i would rather play gran turismo 1 than any pc car game out there...yeah graphics will be a bit dated but the gameplay is there.

that game was miles ahead of its time.
..the driving tests were great...graphics were amazing...handling brilliant....and a ton of real cars that no game can really match.

i played gran turismo 1 on an emulator once...it even let you knock the resolution up...the game looked great..miles better than it did on the ps1.

Um, the picture of the box art on a "rainforest" website says it requires windows vista...

Better not :/. Been looking for something to replace TDU with. Plus this has damage!!

Having bought Codemasters racing games (a bad thing in hindsight) since '99, my conclusions are:-

Codies are infamous for pre-renders, so any shots are taken with a spade of salt!
The AI cars are like tanks, they are immoveable objects on track.
The AI tend to either ram humans in front or over-brake.
The default (arcade) physics give a very false impression that all but hairpin bends can be taken at full throttle.
The "pro-sim" physics make all cars feel like you are driving on ice and many cars in the game do not have the "pro-sim" mode modelled well at all.
Codies refuse to work on a network code that allows for dedicated servers.
Codies have little intrest in applying cheat prevention methods eg. the 4000 slots upgrade hack was well documented, but despite their claim, Codies did not fix it.
Support typically finishes after a second patch, leaving bugs/flaws while the dev team gets ready to add the next sequel onto the conveyor belt.

Yes, you got it, I'm not likely to support a release by Codies for some time ;)

why do so many people expect realistic driving in this series of racers? they aren't meant to be racing simulations which it seems a few think imply, just decent arcade fun.

that link is a video of actual gameplay (they say) , if its that good and smooth i'll be more than happy to leave GT to the PS3 !

I already mentioned but did not link as 360 (cause of some big mouth other day) and the fact is the Genre claims "Genre Simulation -> Simulation"

Shouldn't get yourself too worked up about it mate (clearly bothering you!), too many people on these forums who try to force their opinions across...

As for the game, as long as the drifting is kept to a minimum (or even better you dont have to do it at all), i'll be buying it.

OMG! Just watched the HD video linked to above, and if that IS actual in-game footage then that is amazing.

Might have to save up for a new GPU mind...

not interested in your petty squabbles

agreed, it looks amazing but i'll wait until we have definitive footage running on a PC with its specs etc ... still we can dream

eekfek, What the are you on about ? your as bad as him then.

I was not getting at your post, fact that another person here does not seem to like spamming (what he accused me of) of 360 info into PC section even if a mistake (other thread, other day and it was me).

Also the fact the Game is listed as a Sim unlike what you said.
