Race for Life 2006

As it seems to be the day for Cancer Research threads, I thought I'd join in.

I've recently signed up to do the 5k Race for Life for Cancer Research and I've seen that a few other girls have mentioned it in different parts of OCUK.

If anyone fancies running under the group heading of OCUK, then add to this thread and we could have a training update/sponsorship progress/photos of the events as they happen type thread.

As most of us are scattered around the country, we'd mostly be running different races, but we could do it as a collective on here and motivate each other and raise a fair amount of cash!

I've emailed one of the mods (D_P) about where this thread should go, sports or GD, but I think if any of you girls who are interested let me know here then we can see if it's worth setting up a OCUK Race for Life group. Would be great for all those in the Dieters' thread

If you were to set up a group under the OcUK banner then it would be wise to run it past someone who can speak for the shop.

I have mentioned that in my email to Davey. I'm just wondering how much interest we'd have at the moment

Every little helps. It's a tenner to enter and some people don't get sponsored at all, they just do it to take part. It's a great event, real feeling of doing something special.

oh dear. I need to clear this up. I like footy, cars, rude jokes and worked in IT for a rather long time, but i'm NOT a geezerbird or anything like that. I also like pink (sorry Piggy

) and am very definitely female

It wasn't an insult, in fact it is a compliment that I noticed you as I often notice people who dont argue at me
