Careful what you post from now on guys, the courts are handing out harsh sentences for those convicted of posting racist comments on websites.

This bloke got 2 years 8 months.

I so see many people on here going to jail - CBS, me, virii, alafiq...dmpoole, dirtydog.... :p

I think that was abit different A man who posted racist messages on a website set up in memory of murdered black teenager Anthony Walker has been jailed for two years and eight months.

Though saying that, he has got a HIGHER sentance than some people have had for doing much worse crimes!

How i love the law in this country :rolleyes:

yet abu hamza only got 7 years for 11 charges.... this guy got 2 year 8 months for 6 'forum' posts :rolleyes: ... whilst i agree he should have been reprimanded for his actions i think that its disproportionate to the crime.


edit: also the news is banging on about how jails are packed, maybe this is why ;)

He's gonna be popular in jail with black prisoners...

It is hard to believe you can get jailed - and for that length of time - just for what you say, rather than what you've done. People committing real crimes like burglary get less jail time than that.
 
i cant believe he got 2 years and 2 months for posting 6 messages on a forum.. there must be more to it than that.. :confused:

From the articles linked in the OP....

At an earlier hearing before South Sefton magistrates, Martin was also convicted of 33 counts of making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child.

At the hearing on Friday he was jailed for a further six months for downloading the indecent images.

Guessing that had a lot to do with the final sentence.

It sounds like the child porn offences gave him a six month sentence. So two years and two months were for his comments on the website?

I read it as an extra 6 months for downloading on top of the website posts and the making of making indecent photographs.

'making' indecent photos is the term they use to describe downloading them, AFAIK. The news story isn't entirely clear, maybe there is another source which better explains just what part of the sentence is for his website comments.

Wanna-be Gangster? What is up with ** sig? Do u feel victimised IRL? If so how?

Ive found the majority of the few black males Ive come into contact with (in the past) more than once that they are quite hostile, but maybe its just me. Although I dont "dis" them, ever; still (I have better things to do with my time).

I want to know what prompts u to make a sig like u have, cause u clearly feel alienated, and Im just wondering how?

** just as likely to feel "alienated" as a fat kid, u might feel u encounter racism day to day but then u dont have the option of being in others shoes.

Just FYI, Im not fat, Im not a kid and I myself am not paranoid AFAIK.

Someone please tell this guy who i am (didnt mean that in a bragging way at all) he clearly dont know me.....

Im gonna let others who are familar with me answer your own questions...this as been done before. :p
