you are right, of course, if we ever saw forza/gt on the PC then it would kill the likes of simbin, who still to this day cannot get things working properly on ATI hardware, seems a large chunk of those lazy devs went over to the NFS Shift team, and lo and behold the same has happened again, the engine runs like a pig on anything but NVidia lol.

Still I have heard rumours of a possibility of GTurismo on the PC, but can't see how Sony would ever let PD loose like that.

Oh well, i'm still reeling from them pushing GT5 back to March, so damn tempted to pick up a 360 + Forza 3 pack in a few weeks....

GT on the pc...i remember those rumours but the way things are going they will be lucky if they get it on the ps3.

problem with forza is that the only decent steering wheel the game supports is from fanatec and they are pricey...i think its this one
 
All these Simbin games lack a career mode for single player don't they? I feel that's where they lack compared to the likes of GT / Forza / Shift etc. (As well as falling short of those games graphically and in terms of general polish.)
 
i'm not one for the single player mode of any game, its basically the online mode and realism for me, that where the GTR series beats all other racing games hands down.

There's championship but it's still single season. So no career mode as such.

I vastly prefer the SimBin system over Forza and others though. Actual practice and qualifying sessions with races that last as long as you want up to 100% race distance, as opposed to 2-4 laps without qualifying in games like Shift and Forza. Oh and the amount of cars helps a lot too, 30-40 cars instead of 6-8. Actually what I really like is that SimBin gives us the option to choose. For example you can choose AI difficulty with 1% increments while in Forza and Shift, it's easy-medium-hard. Usually medium is way too easy while hard might be too hard.

Too bad SimBin titles lack that extra flavour Forza has.
 
Well just tried the Demo of `Race on`.:(
Now uninstalled it.
Whats happened to Simbin ?. GTR2 is still miles better, graphically and in it`s driver feedback.
Plus with all the extra tracks,cars,mods I think I`ll be staying with the best one they made. GTR2 forever:D
