Any of you PC only racing fans tempted to buy a 360 for the new Forza?

I've been a racing game fan on both consoles and the PC and think you PC only racers would be impressed with how much they claim to have closed the gap between the console and PC SIM.

I hope they have the guts to make it more GTR/RACE handling with the wheel,as with it being a console, you just get the feeling it will be arcadey.

You should take a look anyway.

Yeh, I saw the new Forza 2, looks amazing. Pretty much has it all, arcadey, whilst realistic handling, car modding, over 300 cars that are licensed, car damage, very very tempted to get a 360 for this game alone, since I love my cars... :p

haha, nope , not at all ... come back when they release a Grand Prix 4 beater and i might take a 2nd look

Forza2 looks very nice and that development vid shows the programmers have put a lot of work into it, but ill stick with proper racing games on the PC

Iirc GTR2 is going to be on Xbox 360? Will be interesting to see if they arcade that up a bit or keep it a sim.

Personally, it's tempting for a bit a fun however I always end up going back to my sims!

this depends on how the cars drive, do all cars behave just like a honda civic and just have to be revved high to shift, or does the torque curve come into play like the original gran turismo 1?

i saw the trailer for this game, and guess what- it was exactly the same trailler they used for the xbox version with another 3 numbers stuck to it at the end.

and i havnt played the game but i wont expect it to be more that whats on the original forza which i play when ever i go to my mates. (i dont have an xbox)

After getting into Forza 1 only recently, I can say it's an awesome game, and really is a very well made sim game that does well to make it easy for beginners. The cars handle well, and it relys on the torque curves and other data to do proper physics. It would be great if Forza 2 were on a PC, as it really is a game worthy of attention. Far far far more realistic than gran turismo in my opinion.

My biggest peeve about my 360 is the fact that it wont support any of my current USB hardware. I mean how difficult would it be to support the logitech steering wheels like the G25 or the momo? Now if I want to tune into forza 2 with a wheel I will have to shift all my PC gear outta my pit and plug in my 360 wheel which is a Pita.

I agree with C64 though, I've yet to play anything that comes close to the driving experience I've had from Live for speed apart from maybe richard burns rally, but thats a different animal.

Yep, the two best by a long shot.

Has LFS developed much?

The last time i played it you could only chose 2 cars.I prefered racing in the FWD hatchbacks.
I think that was only the trial version, that was locked, isn't it  Anyway, when I played LFS, the gfx sucked majorly, so I bought Rfactor, and am loving it :p

- the physics in lfs are better than rf
- the graphics in rf are better than lfs

In driving games, I go for physics every time.
