Racing games with clutch support.

No if they put clutch support in a game I don't see why they can't make it work right so very surprising that nearly all games that support clutch will let you shift with or without it

It can't be that hard to implement. Even GT5 does it (not very well with the G2x's mind you)

Not an exact answer to your question but you mentioned playing GPL online before so I thought this may be of interest to you.
There are lots of websites dedicated to online racing out there.
One of the best ones imo is RaceConnect.
They offer online racing using various mods for rFactor and various Simbin titles such as Race07 with it's many expansion packs, Race On! or GTR2 with races taking place nearly every day. There is a strong community with a forum, teamspeak, practice servers and all the files you'll need available for download. Once registered the website keeps track of a multitude of race statistics so you can keep track of your online racing career!
Both rFactor and the Simbin games make use of the clutch if you wish even if they don't demand it. With the rFactor mods it can very much depend on the quality of the mod and some are better than others.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 has clutch support I believe but as my wheel doesn't have a clutch I've never tested that feature. The driving model in the game itself is a bit meh - tries to be both arcadey and realistic at the same time and doesn't manage either - pretty much unplayable on keyboard but I find the steering works nicely enough on my wheel and acceleration is handled well to, braking is a bit full on/off which takes some getting used to.

The game is a bit unspectacular race wise but excellent for cruising.

So? It's not like you are at a disadvantage or an advantage?

But one of the reasons people play these sims is for realism. Granted you can still use the clutch and 'pretend' it works right, but it would be nice when you miss a gear you actually lose some time and get a crunch noise from the gearbox. I no Live for Speed does this really well.

Ah I see what you mean now, yeah it does suck that most games will just put it into gear even if you go from 1st to top with using clutch. :)

not really much of a game, but the BMW M3 challenge supports a clutch. And its free.

I had this as a mod in GTR Evolution and probably drove it more than any other car in that game. Its great fun round the Nurburgring with the clutch and H pattern shifter on the go.

Heres the link to the mod, if you have GTR Evolution, get it cause its awesome.
