Racist players 'should be sacked'

What was the call by The Society of Black Lawyers on dianna abbots comments last year?

Do they really want 20% of football to be black just because they are black?

i also echo the comments made about making racial abuse the higher form of abuse as nonsense.

I am now a racist, I think the Society of Black Lawyers exists to make everyone feel like they are some sort of racist pig.

There does need to be a mechanism in place for clubs to get rid of players without utterly screwing themselves. Ultimately I think City, Newcastle, QPR would all like to have fired Barton, but they all paid for him, they have contracts, and they would have been screwed and Barton would have a new club a week later still making money, and potentially helping a team in direct competition with the club he just left.

You need to be able to fire a player, retain his registration, not be liable for his wages and make another club pay for his services... but how to do that fairly I don't know. I mean ultimately for absolute gross misconduct like Barton and just about any assault he's done, surely you should be allowed to fire him, pay him no more wages, but if another club wants to sign him they have to pay, maybe a percentage of his transfer fee. If a club bought him for 8 mil on 4 year contract, if there is a year left, he costs 2mil, 3 years left, he costs 6 mil.

Currently there is basically no downside to Barton getting fired, he probably gets a pay off, then signs for a new club, its a joke.

The reverse side is, when a manager decides to make you an outcast, fire you and ruin your career over something trivial, or something non existant? It would need a appeals panel to decide if its a fair dismissal or not.

Nothing to do with race though, just in general, if a player showed himself to be truly racist(more than just one remark, actually treating black team mates or clubs employee's differently), or assaults another player/member of staff, sexually harrasses someone.

Currently clubs hurt themselves too much by firing players, even if its thoroughly deserved so they essentially put up with dispicable behaviour in multiple situations.
 
My initial reaction, is it April the 1st.

However, this does put the authorities in a very awkward position. The can either ruin the game or be accused of not being serious about tackling racism, or worse, being rasist.

Hard to disagree. They're basically well dressed terrorists looking to make money from others misfortune. Scum is the only word I can use to describe them.

We dont need a quota of black players, managers or referees.

People will be getting jobs they are not qualified to do or qualified but incompetent.

It wasnt that long ago there were not that many english black players in the game, there are not thousand of disgruntled ex black players or coaches complaining they cant get a job for this to be an issue.

Would the SoBL now accuse the Met of being racist?
