The new rack-mounted Mac Pro has a very interesting case design. One that would be readily adapted to PCs. Simply three big fans and a grille at the front. I know there's a desktop rip-off case, but how about the rackmount version?

Loads of options that already can be close to that configuration. Can't do links or give names as would be linking to competitor sites but just google for server cases, most common easy to get are ones with 2 bank of 3x5.25" removable bays at the front, usually on those models they can have a 120mm fan behind instead, that combined with the other fans already in the chassis gives you a lot of cooling.
Funnily enough, I did that before posting but didn't find anything suitable. Really, the ideal would be something like my Silverstone FT05 on its side with a grille. Maybe even a cheesegrater...
