Rad Position

Im getting the swifteck Apex Ultra+ and I know that the correct way to have a watercooling set up is to have the resavoir at the highest point in the loop but Im wanting to mount my radiator on top of my case as theres not much room to have it mounted at the back where it is intended to be. Would this make any difference to the cooling circuit?

Aslo I have just thought, would it work if I was to put the radiator fan inside the case (blowing out) and the radiator outside the case but in the same area as the fan so the air blows through the radiator?

i mounted my radiator on the roof of my case, cut blow holes in the roof so it pulled the heat up out the case and blew onto the radiator.
