radeon 1900xt poor performance

just bought a new computer

conroe 6600 cpu
vis chipset msi mobo
2 gig ddr 533
1900xt 256

3dmark score was 10k

bf2 plays around 80 fps

rainbow vagas in the 35 to 50 fps

but am getting realy bad frame rates with armed assault in the low 20s

this game plays better in my boys p4 2.8 with a x800 ?????

i dont no what else to do.

sounds like a driver conflict if its playing bf2 at 80fps, i would reccomend installing patches or trying other drivers

which 3dMark? If you're talking 06 then you're cooking on gas. 10K on 05 is still not to be sniffed at. Vegas plays badly on everything I understand.

Rainbow Six Vegas is terribly written and bad fps is normal with even best video cards.

I noticed a couple of days ago that that after upgrading my drivers to 7.1 that Fear fps seem to have rocketed.

my 06 score is just under 5k thats with single core cpu though.

what psu do you have. it could be power related, but as someone else mentioned its probably driver related.

and rainbow six vegas runs crap for me too so i doubt its the card.

600*** psu so will not be that i have put the omega drivers on armed assult runs much better
