Seems rather Strange it's highly unlikely both your cards are DOA did you try resetting the CMOS jumper or possible check for a Bio's update ?

Also when you have the side of the case off Check to see if there are any Leds are lit up? located near the power connectors.

Is it possible the cards are not seated correctly or are shorting out on a heatsink i know there rather large i had to mod a heatsink to fit mine in also lol.

hope this helps

Some x48 boards had a BIOS issue with the 4870x2 cards, could be that you need to update your BIOS.

again I don't mean to make you out to be a novice but are the 6pin connectors attached?

Some pictures of the board would be handy

There a 8pin and a 6pin and to be fair it's possible the power connectors are not pushed all th way in they seem abit 'Cheap' you really have to give them a good pushing to get those connectors all the way in.

i'm alittle shocked the bio's wasnt the problem lol.

Just out of interest are you using a DVI to connect ?
Some people are having problems with DVI not working on some older monitors just for the purpose of fault finding would it be possible for you to try boot the card using the Dvi to VGA to VGA monitor and see if you can get a screen up?.

Works!! I update Bios again, unplug and plug everything, but work just one card, on the catalyst its just two core should be four!!

Hmm try reseating the second card and the Crossfire bridge boot up check to see if it's working i'm not 100% sure how your two cards will display inside the CCC panel (i never used quadfire) but it is possible CCC does not list them correctly you could try opening up the overdrive tab then try scrolling the cards from the pull down menu's and make sure one of the cards is not disabled i know you can disable the other GPU's it is possible that they come disabled as default from first install?.

hope this helps

This thread was like a good movie in just a few minutes read. Dramatic start, finger biting middle and awww what a happy ending. :D

Glad you got it sorted Mr uber FPS :).

Would would you want yo buy two of these anyway?

There is simply no point at all, this is the biggest over kill ive seen..

The PC was prob thinking WTF, why have i got these 2 inside me, when i clearly only need 1.. then killed itself.
