What was a ten minute favour , has turned into a 12 hour nightmare, the thing is the card seems to work ok until i install the drivers , then it keeps crashing the pc, or it says its out of range or the the screen just stays black.ive tried 2 different versions of th ati drivers making sure i fully installed the other drivers, to rule things out ive done 3 clean installs and trying installing the drivers straight away but still it keeps screwing up. the m/b im insstalling the card on has onboard graphics but you cant disable them.Only when the monitor is plugged in to th o/b graphics slot, is when the option to see how much shared memory to use is available in the bios. Do you think its worth trying the omega drivers(if i can find them) or if any of you guys can help it would be much appreciated...... thankyou for even reading this

Is there anything like maybe a jumper to disable the onboard graphics or is it meant to auto-sense if a secondary graphics card is present? By all means try different drivers but it sounds like it is a more fundamental problem than that, have you got another graphics card you could try in its place to see if maybe the AGP slot is damaged?

Your signature is also well oversized, you are allowed 4 lines of normal sized text or an image 400x75 plus one line of text, the information is in the FAQ :)

cheers guys the onboard graphics arnt installed, ive tried a different card so i know the agp s is working and ive selected agp as primary adaptor, ill try these omega drivers to see if they work .... thanks for the link
