hi all , little advice while i still have options , while on hols in USA i bought a "radeon all in wonder x800xt agp " or what roughly converts to 135 GBP only to remember afterwards that there TV tuner is in NTSC and not PAL :( so my Q is , is 130 pounds still a good buy for a x800xt or should i get a take it back for a refund , im upgrading from a geforce 5800 and personally think the improvement it will make in my games will still make it a good buy but would like some expert opinions , thanks

I have a powercolor x800gto and out of the box its NTSC but while I was flicking through the manual I read that there is a switch to set it to PAL. I left it alone since I wasnt planning on using it; u may have one too. They dont seem to localise too much.

For agp - thats not bad - better clocks than an x800xl & 16 pipes.

thanks mate , ill just keep it then , and if the tuner dont work , well compared to what i have now it will still be a good gaming card for a good price , thanks again

As I understand it, a tuner is a tuner (unless its a digital one), dont matter what country its from. The output is NTSC or PAL, and this can be changed via software.

If I recall AIW X800XT's have DVB-T Tuners. I shouldn't imagine there would be a problem. Should be controllable in the drivers.

It's still a good buy. the X800XT is a pretty quick card and overclocks well.
