Radeon Nano thread

Significant faster than a launch day stock, reference and throttling 290X probably :p

The Fury none pro's lame over current 390X's, so yeah.

Except it doesn't, so yeah. Check some reviews. It might not be £200 faster than a 390, but a 390X isnt £70 faster than a 390 either. Given that the 390X is barely faster than a 390 for £70 more, the extra £100 on top of a 390X for a MUCH larger performance boost doesn't seem that bad.

That may well be but that is like me saying "The 980 is better than the Nano" (which I expect it will be). If it was as fast as a Fury X, then fair but it won't be and it will be closer to a 970 but with HBM, so I am not sure on why the fuss over this.

We don't know what the Nano is yet, if its a low clocked full fat Fiji i can see it being alright, it just needs to be priced right.

Sorry what?
This doesn't make any sense as a reply to my post.

I am confused, I thought you said that the Fury Pro is lame over the 390X, which I said it isn't :P

It is lame over the 390X.

You're honestly not going to convince me otherwise. I've not been able to convince myself to jump to any of AMD's offering for the first time ever.

Objectively, the Fury none pro is a poor improvement over a 390X. Ignoring price, because the 390X is priced ridiculously.

And the 390X's base performance is what 220 quid 290X's from May offered, AMD lowered their price/performance across the board.

Agreed, 290 owner here and stuck with it, not that i dislike it but after 2 years we get this. WTF?

If anything I've gained a greater appreciation for my 290X.
But AMD aren't doing themselves any favours with me with their Fury stuff, nor does their PR'ing, just makes me start to dislike them :p

I don't understand. If you are complaining about the £100 over the 390X for the Fury, which is an actual noticeable performance increase. Why would you buy a 390X over a 390? its £70 more than the 390 and there is such an incredibly small performance difference. Orders of magnitude smaller than the performance difference between the 390X and the Fury.

I don't think AMD's pricing across the board is any good, it's inferior to what it was.

I initially really liked the thought of a Nano and could see the potential however, there is this product:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/show...nviCmDU64GulPIi-IXGb8l2w1LHVlXOxc4aAmSm8P8HAQ

Which has been out for a long time but no mention from anyone here and just as capable as other 970s, so am I missing something?

Yer but that's just a 970 3.5GB + 0.5GB. Nothing special about it.

The Nano should be faster and have full 4GB of HBM to utilize.

If their was a mini-ITX GTX 980 4GB that would be more appealing that that 970.
