ATI is currently sampling the Radeon X1900 GT which will enter production on the 14th of April.

Core: R580
Core clock: 575MHz
Memory clock: 600MHz (1200MHz effective)
Pixel shaders: 36 (12 pipes)
Memory size: 256MB
Price: $300 USD

Bit strange calling it a GT after all that's Nvidia use for there cards.

They've been nicking each others names for years now. 6800gt - x800gt, 6800xt - x800xt etc etc etc. Also they try to keep the numbers roughly the same so it sounds as big, note 6800 - x800, 7800 - 1800 and now 7900 - 1900. Microsoft did this with the THREE-sixty too, as xbox 2 vs PS3 sounds wussy.

The same way XT is usually used for ATi, but look at the 6800XT. They don't always mean the same things though, seeing as the 6800 XT is actually a poor performer.
 
wouldnt surprise me if the name ended up as the x1900gto

actually of very interesting note look at the core....it says r580!

hmmmmmmmmmmmm cood that not juts mean it will be moddable to a faster bios ;)

I'm not sure what they're doing with this really, i mean, isn't this really just going to tread on the feet of the X1800 XT? It's gona give very similar performance i imagine. I can't imagine that the price is gona be much lower than the XT either.
