A few days ago I've started a new tool to automate the 3D settings (AA/AF/Vsync/Catalyst AI/etc.) based on game being started, I think it's very annoying dealing with CCC profiles and shortcuts, not to mention that settings won't be restored after the game is ended.

The idea is pretty straightforward: You configure all 3D settings (AA/AF/Catalyst AI/etc.) and save all those settings as a profile for a particular game, when the corresponding game is started the profile is automatically loaded. As soon the games finishes the previous settings are restored.

If you're an ATi Tray Tools user and already uses the automated profiles you won't need this tool, unless you want to mess with MVPUModes and other limited tweaks like showing CrossfireX logo on screen, remembering that those settings are per game settings.

I'm planning other tweaks and so, I would be glad if you try it and give me some feedback and suggestions on how to make RadeonPro better.

The new RC1 have an installer, just download and open the downloaded file to install the program.

You'll need Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Runtime and Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. If you have Catalyst Control Center installed they're already on your system.
As the title implies, this tool is still in testing and may have some bugs, please use it at your own risk.

All reported bugs wil be verified and fixed as soon as possible.

The thing I find most strange, I install windows, install CCC, set top quality settings on pretty much anything, and I'm sorted.

Most games let you choose AA, even then I usually just force iit to 4xaa in the CCC, admitedly a little easier when you've mostly got a new generation card few games will be troubled with 4xaa, I've also failed to once see a game offer significant(or even seeable) IQ increase with 8xaa, so why bother with the performance hit.

Job done, I can go months without even opening the CCC and play most of the latest games that come out and incredibly rarely run into issues.

Vsync works in next to no games because the driver model says they can't force vsync in a WHQL driver because you're not supposed to force that, or trip buffering in Directx, so in drivers its an opengl setting.

Thats the only thing I'd be pee'd about, and it effects both companies, not having an EASY to use, easy to verify properly made "3doverride" type program, not least because that is a pile of crap and rarely works for me. A way to force vsync and triple buffering in games without the brains to include the options is the single most important issue for me.

They've also had profiles in the CCC for as long as I can remember, you can set different settings, save a profile with a game name and save the .exe to open when you select it, so save a profile called COD, right click the icon in system tray, profile, COD and it will set the settings you want and open the game, you can also set different overclocks, voltages and other settings for a specific profile aswell, some games are stable at higher clocks, some are so incredibly untaxing or old theres no need for the heaviest overclock, more power usage and higher temps so run stock, or underclocked, with lower voltage and quieter fans.

CCC profiles are incredibly detailed giving a huge range of options, you just have to use them.

I'm glad they did, I play games like eve online with vsync on, but FPS games with it off would be a pain to have to manually switch each time.

Tool reminds me of nHancer a lot.

EVE has built in vsync in advanced DISPLAY & GRAPHICS.
PRESENT INTERVAL: interval one.

Yeah I know, its a bit more complicated than that, due to the driver model in win 7 if nVidia didn't have the ability to force it per application I'd be forever having to manually change it as it enables in some games I don't want it on and not on others I do even if I leave global setting on auto.
