The KOP
RadeonPro supports different types of Crossfire rendering.
Its got Default Crossfire
Alternate Frame Rendering, Now this is why I posting this and would be nice if you could also try this :) But since changing this for BF3 and Crysis 2 Wow! the performance as shot right up. It would be nice to see if you guys also notice this.
These other two options I not tested yet.

I'll give it a go this afternoon with my 7970s, just got in from work :)

Edit: I've just given this a bit of a quick go, I've changed the BF profile to AFR and right clicked the application (In RP) and hit apply now, is that correct? I've also enabled 'force process priority' which seems to have given me a small bump in FPS? Not sure at the moment needs more testing.

Do you get improved card usage at higher clocks in bf3 with afr enabled shankly?

Yes you know what else my Cpu don't hit full 100% LOL It sits at like 97% gpu usage had went right up. Game now feels smooth and frame not drop that much.

II going to run some game benchmarks with it on and off just to see if It shows up.
Will post my results soon.

So you didnt need an i7 afterall

Well this little gain as helped a lot, but I dont think it is better than going i7 tbh. But it sure is better than it was.

Crysis 2 show it better that game runs 120fps Locked on very high settings. And if I remember rightly once Modded you gain a lot more performance on that game.

Something they over used the Tessellation on Water or something and the graphic mod remove this.

interesting :D
I see your still running the cards at stock, do you mind OC them and see if GPU usage/gameplay is still the same/better with AFR as opposed to running them at stock?

Ps, I can only manage 1100/1350 on my 7950 DD on 1.1v :(

Tried :D Overclocking things get worst, its better running them at stock for now. I reading about trying to find proof that an i7 2600k is really worth the upgrade.

But I just cant find any benchmark that prove's this :(

Well my i7 is on its way, just need to save up for a 2nd HD7950 DD :D

Out of topic but, what were your max OC on your cards and max volts through trixx?

I had them both running 1000/1500 with CCC stock voltage. Because I getting worst performance when OC I not tried to push both of them.

My older card witch is voltage unlocked I used to run 1100/1575 @1.131v

Be surprised if it made much diff in bf3, my gpu usage is generally in the 90's across all 3 using the default crossfire mode in the cat drivers, not tried the alternate way yet.

Whats your CPU usage? I have my i5 @ 97% to 100% and GPU never stay @99/100% always around 60/80%

Not sure, don't have one of those keyboards that show it ingame. =/ Afterburner shows that my gpu's are generally around 93-99 though, get the odd blip down to the 80's occasionally but really depends on the map.

Is there a tool with an osd that shows cpu load in games?

You could have HWiNFO64 running while in game. Its a great program and free to monitor hardware usage.
