RadeonPro Must have Program for AMD

Ok thanks :)

Any idea about the aero thing?

Haven't tried it myself, so i'll check when i get home from work.

Just realised i typed make a profile twice for a game in that SweetFX description, ignore the latter one.

Apparently it is a problem with radeonpro, but I have found a way around, just right click on the .exe of the game and disable desktop composition that way instead of doing it through radeonpro so once the game is closed, no need to exit radeonpro as well, in order to get aero back :)

Have only tried this radeonpro out with far cry 3 so far and it works really well, dynamic vysnc isn't that smooth though, driver default works best for me. Forcing high priority has made the game feel much smoother, don't get those wee micro stutters that I use to when opening a door etc.

Ah right, i tried it yesterday but had the same problem you had, so i just removed it from my profile but i'll do what you suggested above.

Forcing high priority just another great feature :) Really does make FC3 much more smoother.

Dam I love RadeonPro :D

Hmm, I have noticed with force high priority enabled (for FC 3) that whilst it reduces the micro stutter on the whole/makes the game smoother, every few minutes the game will freeze for a second or two (no sound loop, just the image), with it disabled, I don't encounter this problem.

I leave that box unchecked for all games, games run fine without it checked.

Should I just keep the FPS limiter set to 58-60 for every game? Or do I only set a limit for games that are often above the 60FPS mark? (60Hz monitor btw)

While you don't need to, with a 60Hz monitor, you may as well. if for some reason it causes an issue with individual games, just disable it in those games profiles.

ive found out that u can link all your games to one profile if you wish by adding your games to triggers each trigger is a ptha for your game so u can add as many as you wish ive just add all my games to the trigger menu so one profile activates for all my games.

any info from the above that anyone could provide would be much welcomed at the mo my settings are:

visual

anti alising ticked with overide application settings chosen x4

smaa ticked ultra selected

ambient oclusion ticked hbao selected ultra selected

anti alising ticked multisampling(box) chosen

tesselation control ticked 4x chosen

advanced

all boxes ticked

texture filtering ticked set on high

mip map ticked set on high

texture LOD ticked set to -0.4

tweaks

vsync control set to dynamic

60hz refresh rate

disable aero ticked

sweet fx enabled (do i have to add files or something for this?)

launcher set to steam

does this seem okay? is there anything more i should do? should i set things higher like tesselation and and anti alising above 4x?

anything ive missed?

oh im running a 7950 wf3,i5 2500k @4.4ghz

This is a a bit silly.
Any settings you store in the global profile already affects all games, unless you create a specific profile for them. So you could have got the same effect as above without having to manually add every game to the trigger.

One minor downside of what you've done you cant rightclick radeon pro's icon, and click a game's profile to launch the game which you can do if every game has its own profile. Yes, RadeonPro is a game launcher too.

yes i knew about the game launching that radeon pro could do,i ended up putting them all on triggers because when i set up the global profile it didnt seem to activate and the osd didnt work.

Chris-82, only configure what you think the game requires to improve performance, visual quality or possibly both. The only tabs you should be looking at are Visual (for AA mainly), SweetFX (if you intend on using it), Overdrive (if you want to select an overclock to turn on for that game) and Tweaks (for V-Sync), the rest you should really leave alone.

Edit: Create a profile for each game as well, not under one profile via triggers, some games will require different settings as each game performs and looks different.

I just thought i would try this on BF3 to try Dynamic V-Sync , but when I try to join a server in battlelog it opens another battlelog tab!
Doesn't matter how many time i try while it running it just opens another Battlelog tab, soon as I exit RadeonPro I can join a server, this is the preview version. It may be because i added the BF3.exe i may try global.

Same here, managed to get frame rate counter going, but no other OSD.

Directing to SweetFX Shaders does not work for me, set directory and.... nothing!

Dynamic vSynk turns off the in Game vSync but will not run at the FPS i set.

I have sort of given up with it.
