Radiator blanking caps..

As above, what are you trying to do with it ?, id also be pretty certain that you need something in a Metric size not Imperial.

Okay this is maybe why it dosent fit:

"The cap to replace the TRV is normally supplied with the TRV. Unfortunately, these are either not passed to the householder by the heating installer, or they get lost by the householder. They are not items that you can buy separately, some manufacturers don't supply them at all, and every manufacturer has their own version"

Son. Of. A. Bitch.

Okay this might do the trick then:

The valve in your original thread is a Myson II ( old type ), people have brought them into my shop before. This is the updated version http://www.myson.co.uk/trv_2_way.asp

You can try the ebay one, nothing to lose.

Yup :)

BTW do the drayton TRV4's always come with a lockshield?

I saw one in B&Q and it came in a packet with a lockshield, but i see them online and theres no mention of a lockshield in many places. Will it depend on the retailer, some might just send me the bare TRV and no lockshield?

Hi

Depends where you buy them, you can get the TRV alone or the set in a blister pack. Try a merchant before you try DIY stores, might be cheaper.

I recently had a rad replaced and a trv used on it. I told the plumber not to open the trv up to fill the rad as its going to come off when the room is skimmed. I'm not going to disconnect the trv, but disconnect the rad from it without removing the insert that gets screwed into the rad. Is there a way to cap at the connecting side of the rad, or do I need to unscrew the insert and connect that to the trv and cap that with the above cap?

If that makes sense?
