hi guys.
Just wondering. where is the best place to put a 240 radiator?

I thought about inside, bolted to the top, so the top 120mm fans can cool it. but i thought about heat from the components, they will be sucked to the radiator, not giving it the best cooling possible,

Inside the front of the case also was a thought, since there is 2x 120mm fans on the front.
Pro - air that is drawn to the radiator is not warm air that has come from components, its fresh / cool air from the room.

Con - It will then block air intake to the rest of the components, as the graphics cards arent watercooled.

I also thought about putting a single 120 rad in, since its just the cpu being water cooled, but again, if i place that at the rear 120mm fan place, then again, warm air that is from the components will be sucked to the rad again

I am really trying to find the best place to get maximum cool air to the rad.

thanks

just keep it outside the case. Ive done this for years even after many times contemplating having it all inside the case.

hmm, so where do you think i could mount it outside the case?
Perhaps bolt it directly to the "cable hider" panel?
Drill 4 holes, rubber anti-vibration bungs, then bolt the rad to it and the fans bolted to that, blowing the air directly onto the rad from the surrounding?

thanks for your replies

External mount like mine, far away from the case, or anywhere the interior case air flow does not blow across your rad as per your example.

only probs about having it external is if you have small kids dont like the fact the fans are spinning freely with nothing stop the kids poking there fingers in them ouch :(
