Well I'm considering building a custom water cooling kit and was wondering if a dual 80mm radiator will provide enough cooling for a DS3 chipset and e6300 at 2.8GHz <

Main reason why i want to get a dual 80mm radiator is because i have a Coolermaster wavemaster case and its quiet small and i have no where to mount the radiator within the case except for the front. I could cut a hole in the top of the case to house a dual 120mm radiator but i dont want to start cutting my case up just yet ;)

Cheers,
Martin

Dont want to ruin the clean look on my desk and too much tubing. I want it compact and well organised inside the case :D So would it be enough to cool my CPU and Chipset?

well he said E6300 at 2.8Ghz or less i think, so he is indeed, but by the looks of it not higher than 2.8Ghz :)

woops. I have had a bad day ok? :o

IIRC there is one 2x80mm rad that = 1 x 120mm rad. The fans will have to run faster but yes. It should be fine. Ditch the chipset cooling though

80.2 will be more than enough to reach 2.8GHz and cool your chipset.

Yes you certainly won't need to up the vcore much on a 6300 for 2.8ghz

Considering that people with there DS3's running with 500 FSB have just good case airflow 80.2 will be more than enough.

Supposed to say 2.8GHz and upwards :D I've had it up to 3.2GHz on my air cooling but the temps were too high for my liking. I was thinking of sandwiching the rad between 4 80mm fans so they have to run slower there for quieter ;) Also what blocks do you suggest for 10mm fittings? im thinking of going with the Asetek WaterChill Xtreme 12V for the pump and reservoir, what do you think? is there anything better?

Cheers
