Radiator restriction?

I think the point is adding extra restriction on top of the CPU and GPU Block. Not sure it matters that much in real world operation.

I dont think it really matters either, I think the consideration is usually if you have a big case and big rads do you want additional pump power to increase the flow so you can run them quieter.
But for this one i'm not of the opinion it is required given the slim rads do not hold a great deal of fluid. The GPU blocks might look tight but they are well optimised for flow, so its not exactly restrictive once the fluid is moving around.

I'm just about to use a HWL 120 GTX, 120 GTS and a 160 GTX together with a D5 pump. Shouldn't be any problem for you but interested to see how you get on.
Is that on a single D5? I was worried about adding a gts 240 to my loop due to flow restriction, as I already have an EK XE 360, CPU+mobo monoblock and GPU block, and was considering taking the performance hot on the Xflow for better flow rates instead, but this thread has reassured me my loop should be fine with the regular u flow
Yep single D5 works fine. Got my flow meter set up last night and i am getting 2.9L per minute at half speed on the 5. So in my case every minute the entire coolant content ahs been round my loop once.
Temps are low 50s on the 4.7Ghz 5820k and the titan sits at 30- 32C under load

Ah wow that is pretty good. Out of curiosity - what flow meter are you using? Ah even after my last post I'm still considering the xflow, as looking at the xtreme rigs reviews (http://www.xtremerigs.net/2016/02/19/13271/6/), the performance seems almost identical for the 280, and I'm going for a 240 black ice nemesis, which should be pretty similar, but with much less restriction and the ports actually work better for my rig too as it will help me avoid a long tube across my mobo ... guessing you don't have experience with the xflow?

I went all in with Aquacomputer stuff and got the Aquacomputer Flow Sensor High Flow meter.
Can have a temp probe attached, worked with any size tube and connects to mobo via usb and reads in software.
Plus an inline tube temp probe next to it and its on the first part of my loop out of the pump.
I then have temp probes post gfx card, post cpu and one in the reservoir.
Allows me to see how the heat builds up and cools down round the loop.

I'm curious, do you notice much temperature difference from the different probes?
I would have though with the level of flow you have that the temperature would equalize.
Yes there are a few degrees esp between the in and out on the cpu block. Obviously the water picks heats up flowing through the block before then going through a radiator.
Just because people talk about a loop stabilizing at a temperature does not mean its the same temp everywhere through the loop.
I only did it cause I had loads of temp connectors and few spare temp sensors lol
