Night vision in black and white? Night vision would be green.

I don't know what colour you see at night but I certainly see none :D

why would night vision be green? you can get them in any colour you'd like tbh :p

i take it youve never watched Police Camera Action! with michael burke. those helicopter cameras use b/w for high contrast. it makes it easier to spot a chav running away from a stolen car or driving it like his bowels are about to burst :p

But the article was posted after he said that its april fools so how does that work? :p

i guess it depends on how BMW worded their advert then because i wouldnt have said it was an Aprils Fool as Merc S class already have this feature. tbh if i had seen the BMW car parking itself on April 1st, id have been more inclined to have said that was a joke... its amazing what technology does for us these days :p

thermal imaging can be used in the dark therefore its night vision (its just that if the subjects are cold it doesnt work very well) :p

youre thinking about infra-red night vision? :)

What's a gadget? :p

The most advanced thing my new car's got is manual window winders. Even the seatbelts are pre-inertia, you have to hang them up on the door pillars when you've done with it :D

I remember seeing a demo of a similar thing on a jag about 5-6 years ago. I think it was tomorrows world or something that had it. Though it may have even been fifth gear  :D

Few months ago I was watching a program in which honda showed their new car thermal imaging system. It obviously showed the road ahead in thermal view using black and white, when it detected a hot object on the road ahead it outlined it for you in colour and made a noise. Great for backroads since it could detect large animals at the side of the road that could potententaly run out infront of you.....or that clever drunk guy staggering home in all black clothing.
April fools or not, BMW do have a similar system in the works. Its mentioned in one of their TV adverts.
