I use Radiotastic Similar to the BBC app posted above, but with the option to let you record which is nice.

Radiotastic is freeware for just listening.
You dont need realplayer for it aswell!
Select whichever radio station you want, ie Radio 1.
Then in the options change the URL to a windows media instead of real player.
So Radio 1 is:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/wm_asx/aod/radio1.asx
instead of the .RAM
BBC Radio through widgets without real player, yay!
