Radiohead - I Promise

I feel the reason he doesn't say anything "political" is because it would be deemed too populist, and he don't like that... Thom is an utter nob and always has been, hypocritical and obnoxious. I just like them for the music, and they are the only band I've seen live that totally mesmerise me - the whole two and bit hours they are on stage you go to a different place, truly honest musicians.

If you hate them, then you hate them. They don't need your support or your vote. They've won.

EDIT: I'm seeing them in a week and a bit so don't care about lack of AMSP, I'll get that at a proper RH show :p
Enjoy! Honestly though... mid week in Manchester... what a crappy timing!

Saw them in Manchester last time around and also at the Roundhouse :)

Yeah.. I love!! RH with a passion, but their set seemed weak and uninspired. I nodded off several times watching it on the TV. They lack something in these scenarios now, rather than command it as they once did; instead they come across as an ageing nerdy mess. Thom has nothing to say in-between songs about current events... my twelve year old could say something more rousing about the current state of the country/world than his pathetic attempts... why would anyone consider them even vaguely political anymore?.... and only one track from AMSP :(
I know what you mean - their songs seem to lack the punch they did when they were at their peak and you felt obliged to pay attention. A bit glum to headline now.

I think it's a mistake to play B/C grade material like Bodysnatchers, Lotus Flower and Bloom at shows like this. The set would have been better if they dropped those songs and didn't replace them... short and sweet.
