Why aren't these scummers locked up?

Working from home today and my car is in the garage so the house looks deserted from the front. Sitting in my office and can hear a dodgy christmas tune and a dirty white van going down the street with rat faced horse heads sitting in the front.

I'm having a bit of work done and have got some windows around the back that have been removed, along with other bits and bobs (none really valuable). The windows are going to someone I know to be reused and they are far to big to put in the garage.

LO AND BEHOLD THE SCUMMERS decide to walk down my drive!!! Cue a 'what are you doing' and a 'sorry mate' and a 'what the hell gives you the right to come in my drive' and a 'I was just going to do you a favour and move that window for you'

Now I know where my wrought iron bath went last year :(

... oh and to go back to my initial question? Why are they allowed to drive around stealing stuff?

********

They are actually providing a service & are in fact clearing up after the scummers that leave scrap metal every where.

Had to. :p

Yea, we have a few in our area, one set of lads always knock and ask if they can have anything which doesnt really mind me, they even warned us that theres some who wont knock and just nick the stuff. (granted they could be one and the same)
But those thieving scum bags who keep steeling my BBQ or fire pits or bikes will get ******* shot if i catch em doing it!
I may wire up some nice copper pipes in the garden to the mains for them and play dumb when they try report it!

I had a cast iron bath taken out and it was on my drive for about 1h before no less than 3 different vans of ****** trying to take it.

The bathroom fitter who wanted it for himself (*****) put his mate on sentry duty for the rest of the day... Bloody freaks.

"A favour??? For moi?? Well, let me return it - hold on, let me grab my kitchen knife, I'll do YOU a favour and remove that unsightly 2nd kneecap you've got there"

Actually I had a right result last week because of these people... I had a soil stack up the side of the house replaced with a plastic one and had no idea how I was going to get rid of the old one. It'd been sitting in the front garden for a bit.

Friday morning I heard a load of rustling about outside, looked out the window and a couple of guys were taking it away.

Well, that solved my problem - I'd have had to pay to have it removed seeing as it was asbestos! Derp! :P

Heard stories of them driving down alleyways on the back of vans looking into peoples back yards :D

Rule of the story is, don't leave crap on your driveway :)

This, rule with anything really, dont leave anything on show, once had a plant stolen from my dads garden, woke up one day and soil everywhere on the drive and my dad ringing me saying, did you pull up a plant, some thief nicked it in the night, was an expensive one.
