Rahul Dravid likely to announce retirement on Friday

Rahul Dravid is likely to announce his retirement on Friday. Dravid, 39, has called a press conference in Bangalore that will also be attended by N Srinivasan, the BCCI president.
Dravid is set to be the first of India's senior-most cricketers - including Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman - to quit the game after a season of speculation surrounding their future. His decision follows a poor tour of Australia but he enjoyed a prolific run through 2011, on tours of the Caribbean and England.

:eek::eek::eek::eek: :(:(:(:(

FFS. Why can't he retire in 40 years time :confused:

If this is true, I'm going to cry. I will cry unconsolably.

The 2nd highest run scorer of all time in Test cricket, and the 7th highest run scorer of all time in ODI cricket. My favourite cricketer of all time, and one of the best batsmen the game has ever seen. An absolute gentleman too, in the same ilk of guys like Sachin, Kallis and Bradman.

I love him. I want his babies. He should keep playing Test cricket. What will the number 3 position do without him? Laxman could fill it for a while I suppose :o
