Hi all

I have been seriously considering setting up a RAID array using my 2 speedy Raptors. Even more so now after reading Dominicks “Who says two Raptors are not better than one?”
The question I have is. Would it be possible for me to partition my two drives into 4 x 36gb, install the 0 part of the array on for example C & D. And then for the 1 part of the array, designate this to say for example E & F? Is this actually possible, or do you have to physically have 4 drives and not 4 partitions. If anyone could help here I would be most grateful, as I am very curious about the increased performance benefits in using this set-up.

Thanks in advance

:)

i think that's impossible as the raid is setup in the bios and you cant assign partitions to raid 0 or 1 etc
if you want Raid 0+1 you need 4 drives
