hi guys, ive got 2x 500GB SATA II HDDs in a RAID0 config at the moment

however my mobo has died and needs replacing. Where is the RAID config stored? on the disks or on the chip on the mobo?

im just thinking that as soon as i boot up with the new mobo will it pick up the raid config on the disks or will i have to set it up again and will it therefore format the disks? any help will be greatly appreciated

FYI the mobo it was setup on is an ASUS P8P67 B3 rev, with the intel rapid storage technology raid utility, not sure if the mobo i get to replace it will be the same or different

If the RAID controller on the new board is the same as the one from the old board (ICH10R in your case) then you might be OK but there's no guarantee. If you're moving to a different controller type then it's unlikely to work.

im replacing a P8P67 with a P8P67 PRO so hopefully ill be okay! assuming they have the same controller?

ive got a system image saved from about 3-4 days before it died so wont be the end of the world but still be a bit annoying if i have to start "fresh" :P

EDIT: Replaced the mobo and it picked up the RAID and booted! :D YAY!
