so I picked up a 120gb ocz ssd last night from a mate Ive already got a 120gb Samsung ssd installed.

Is there much point in doing a raid 0 setup?
or do I just stick it in as a 2nd ssd for programs to be installed on?

nope, not unless you need all the storage on one drive or you shift around massive files so much that the continuous transfer speed of two in raid0 is required.

Yea I wasn't sure if there was much point in it with 2 ssd's its not as if I would benefit in the performance.

I think if I was setting them up for the first time I might do it but only because I can..
But I cant justify formatting my system and needing to re install everything

For a laugh I had my origin folder installed on 2 M4's in raid 0.

Was ace for getting in first every time on map changes :)

Wouldn't do it for anything that was important and I prob wouldn't mix drives either.

yea I had wondered if the drives needed to be the same or not.

it was just a mad thought as I have it there it was free :D

Ive been planning on buying a 256Gb Samsung ssd to use as my system drive just not got that far yet.

think ill install it as a slave and put my steam library and my game installs onto it

Only worth it with normal hard drives, which you shouldn't be buying nowadays if you want speed.
