Hello Everyone,

I'm having some issues setting up Raid 0.

System Info:

Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe Motherboard
2x 320GB Seagate 7200.11 HDDs
Using the ATI SB600 Raid Controller.

I've created the Raid Ok in the Raid Bios but after I've loaded the Raid Driver and selecting the partition I receive the following error from Vista X64:

Windows could not format a partition on disk 3. The error occurred while preparing the partition selected for installation. Error code: 0x80042428

I've tried looking around on google but not had much luck.

Also tried, diff Install Media, single HDD also in Raid 0 (tried each drive like this)

Installing on a single disk without raid also seems fine.

Both HDDs have been scanned with Seagate disktools and seem fine.

I did at first set the RAID up with the Marvell Controller but the speeds were shocking... under the speed of a single drive!

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Michael

i have this problem when trying to format a RAID 0 drive of 2x samsung 500gb's in Windows 7 RTM, and of course, i cannot find anything on google about it :(
did you manage to fix the problem in the end?

Yes I managed to get this resolved using a different raid controller driver, I ended up trying Windows 7 Beta X64 as well at the time above and received the same issues.

I would recommend downloading the latest Raid drivers from the manufactures website, which motherboard are you using?
