I have Samsung 980 PRO 1TB and I want to buy Corsair MP600 PRO XT 1TB and use RAID 0 to get double the speed.

However these two have different speeds

980 PRO: 7 GB / 5.1 GB
Corsair XT: 7.1 GB / 6.8 GB

Can i RAID 0 them together and get double the speed of 980 PRO? or they have to be exactly identical?

Yes, you will get 2x the speed of whatever drive is the slowest at any given task.

Being able to do something doesn't automatically mean there's any sense in doing that thing.
Would have to be 0.1% niche use for that to give any real benefit in use.
Unless you count doubled chance for losing data to failure of (single) drive as benefit.

In most uses there isn't much difference between 0.5GB/s SATA SSD and NVMe.
