Hi Guys

Has anyone done the above without issues?

I have a USB floppy and an IDE and for the life of my it wouldn't load the drivers after F6? Set the raid up as a stripe 32 and the bios saw the drives but I couldn't get the drivers loaded and therefore the OS said there was no drives found :confused: :confused:

Went on single drives in the end with XP but I'm installing Vista 64bit this week and would like to RAID0 my Seagates (250gb) if poss?

Any other simple way to get the drivers loaded at F6 stage?

Help please!! :(

I have a different motherboard and a much older Intel controller but when I wanted to set up RAID 1 I had the same problem using a USB floppy drive - I tried all the USB settings in the bios and still no luck (could have been coz my board was so old though).

Try a few of the different USB floppy settings and if you still cant get it to work slipstream the drivers in to a winXP disc using this app;

Its very good :)

Hi there

Thanks for the advice, but I'm moving to Vista 64bit Ultimate :(

Can I not use a usb pen of burn them to a CD perhaps?

If your going vista then that supports USB pen drives so you can just put it on that :) - oops, I didnt read the vista bit in your first post - sorry!!!

Ah thats grand - No probs I read too fast tooo at times :)

So at load stage Vista will see my pen drive with the drivers on?

That's cheered me up !!

shouldn't even need to do that, my p35 board came with the raid drivers on the cd, and when installing vista 64 it detected my cd drives so just put it in and browsed to it

Just to confirm, my P35C-DS3R installed the RAID drivers from a USB pen drive with zero issues. RAID 0 up and storming away.

Now to fill it with.....stuff...;)

What speeds you getting just out of curiosity as I have the same board and my 2 x 320GB seagates are not quick to say the least
