Hey chaps,

I've currently got 2 x 320GB Samsung F1's in Raid 0 (think 64KB stripe, can't remember :s) for OS and programs, with the page file included in there somewhere.

I'm going to have to rebuild my raid array and reinstall Vista soon (new components) and was wondering if the following would make any difference to the running speed (good or bad):

Raid 0 the 2 x 320GB F1s (small stripe size):
- Put 1 small partition on first to store the page file (should have fastest part of both drives)
- Put a second partition to install OS and programs onto.

Any ideas on whether this would speed up pagefile access at all?

Personally I do have a separate 10GB partition for my swap file, but as for speed improvements, I doubt it'll be noticeable and it depends where the swap file is physically located on your drives at the moment.

pagefile should be on the same partition as windows, or another drive

putting it on another partition on the windows drive gives adverse performance.

Cheers for the speedy replies.

I'll try and get UltimateDefrag to force the pagefile to the outside of the drive then.
