Raid 0 SSD

I'm wondering if anybody else has raided two SSD's together on sata 2. What speeds are you getting?

Yep around 550 read/write sequential as sata 2 limits them to 275ish per drive.

So as good as having one single drive on an Intel sata 3 port.......

You are correct they dont work.

I have a pair of Crucial RealSSD C300 256GB drives in RAID0 on the Intel SATA II controller
of my Asus Rampage III Extreme and get not too bad speeds.

Obviously it's best to use the Intel SATA II controller this board has with SSD drives in RAID0
because the Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller can't handle the bandwidth when in RAID0 and
you actually get a lot slower performance.

Although i agree about if raiding then use the sata 2 intel ports but with the question is with the latest super fast sata 3 ssd drives which reach 500+ as single drives, would you be better off having raid 0 on the Intel sata 2 or having two single drives on the Marvel controller?

I can't really answer that because I am not sure how newer
super fast sata 3 ssd drives would perform on the Marvell
91xx SATA III 6G Controller.

A lot of people have said the Marvell Controller is ****
compared to the Intel SATA III 6G Controller.

I am sure I have read Intel SATA III 6G Controller can also handle
more bandwidth than the Marvell Controller and so is much better
for fast SSD drives and supports better SSD RAID 0 configurations.
