I bought myself a Samsung Evo 250gb SSD and i have another one coming for crimbo :)

I've never done raid before but looks simple. Is it worth it putting both hard drives in raid 0?

Im interested to learn what this means. and the benefits. I have no idea what "RAID" is.

Yeah it's well worth it. I get about 170-180 percent read performance when in raid 0 and it makes a big difference when video editing and loading games.

Always put the operating system on a separate single drive though.

Not sure you'll gain much from Raid 0 with SSD's it's really a way of improving bandwidth for slower hard drives.
Andi.

PS Oh! and doubling the data loss risk with your data across 2 devices.

ill only have two SSD's and dont fancy getting another as my case is quite packed as it is.

Any reason other than possible data loss as to not put the os on the two raid drives? Does it boot slower? Higher risk of the drive messing up?

super duper fast, I have 4 x 120GB SSD's (relatively slow, read: cheap) in a RAID 0 for OS and get ~3000MB/s read and ~15000 write (sequential)
